Excellent analysis of the eXistenz. This move was definitely filled with twists and turns that keeps me on edge as to whether they we’re in the real word or not. I noticed the same thing as well, when it came to the characters touching object as a confirmation of its realness. Keep up the good work!

I found your input real insightful. I like the example as a human race we all wear clothes, communicate through language, and eat and drink, but form different perspectives. I also agree with the media censorship even when it comes from knowledge sources as human beings we are expect to conform with the norm, but in reality, we may feel differently.

Great breakdown of Tolstoy’s definition of art. The three conditions that Tolstoy requires for art to be considered are was also clearly explained. Interesting opinion regarding whether you agree with Tolstoy’s requirement for Art. My opinion differs slightly.

Great analogy of comparing the volunteers as the counterpart to the prisoners from Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave.”

Wow, great interpretation and explanation of Tolstoy’s definition of art. The infectiousness was clearly empathized. I like the bullet points as they were clear and simple.
Interest write up. I do agree we have to make decisions on how we want to live and they also have been influences by others.

Nice detail breakdown of Descartes and his beliefs. Great work in explaining his core beliefs and the acceptance of false beliefs as being deceitful.
You explained Descartes reasoning very well, about how one must not trust with our sense or what we believed we have perceived. Great usage of the dream as an example of tricking us into a false reality.

Great job defining Cogito, ergo sum in your own words and also providing the latin translation. Nice simple and detailed way of explaining how are mind is not fool proof. I like the quotes that you select for your examples.

Awesome explanation of art. You broke it down to its core on how it must be able to connect with the viewer and draw upon an emotion from the viewer. I love the movie example as that is easily relatable.
Great work! I enjoyed how you tied David Chang and the movie together to explain Tolstoy’s definition of art. You did a fantastic job breaking down the Tolstoy’s three requires for art.

I like your explanation on why your argument is sound! I agree knowledge is power and when one has knowledge we tend to feel more powerful.

Awesome work. I enjoyed how you compared the characters to the prisoners in the cave. Great job breaking down how virtually everything is nonexistent and not the true reality.

Direct and straight to the point. Your explanation of Socrates’s hierarchy scheme couldn’t have been explained any better. Yes, art could certainly deceive us, especially the art that contain hidden messages or trompe-l’oeil style art.

I do agree that media is certainly in the business of making money. That is an interesting take on Nasa and that the moon landing could be staged. I enjoyed the breakdown of the word history as well. I never thought about it that way, but it definitely raises some questions for me now. Awesome work!
Your belief about the feelings each person has towards an artwork is right in line with how I believe art may convey certain emotions. We all may view the same artwork but have different takes on it and that is fine.
Interesting interpretation of Plato’s Cave. Great input on your own personal beliefs.
I enjoyed your breakdown of Plato’s hierarchy scheme. You chose great quotes to help get your point across. One of the best blogs I’ve read. Keep up the great work.

Great take on tranCendenZ! The example of the mechanic was spot on as well has the pun on being the most pathetic level of reality. The movie was an outstanding portray of Plato’s concepts. It crazy the amounts of the time they appeared to be in reality only to find out that they were still in the virtual reality.

I certainly agree that media has a mass influence over us and has the ability to mislead us into a false reality. Awesome ending by explaining your view on the cave, shade and being outside of the cave.

Great introduce! I enjoyed how you started with a series of questioned that forced me to question my own beliefs. I do agree that we could certainly be deceived by media and many other outlets.
